The ugly Disney characters aren’t as popular as Mickey Mouse and the Disney Princess.
Even if they’re not the main villain in Disney animated films, the ugly cartoon characters often get the short end. But, the ugly Disney characters don’t always marry Prince Charming.
Every Disney movie has a cast of characters that are ugly, but some are kind, brave, funny and heroic. A character that is ugly doesn’t necessarily mean they are unattractive. Beauty is not just about the skin. There are many things to love about Disney characters, even if they look ugly.
Ursula – The Little Mermaid
We know from the first mention of her, she is a sea witch. A witch character is usually not associated with beauty. They are the opposite to Disney Princesses. Ursula is a witch who is heavier and has too much makeup when we finally meet her. Prince Eric agrees.

We hear a lot of praise for the Queen of Hearts throughout the movie. We can see that she is a red-faced, heavier-set woman. She reminds of Miss Trunchbull, except with a crown.
Drizella Tremaine and Anastasia Tremaine – Cinderella
Drizella Tremaine wearing a green dress and Anastasia Tremaine wearing a purple dress. These two women gave step-sisters all over the world a bad reputation. These girls are not suitable for young girls. These female characters are not only big on their feet, but also have large mouths.
They bully Cinderella all the time, even ripping up her dress to wear to a ball. Their hatred for Cinderella and their personalities are the worst part of these two awful Disney characters.
Scar The Lion King
Scar and the hyenas devise an evil plan in order to destroy Mufasa, and take over the pride lands. The Lion King is Walt Disney Pictures’ highest-earning film.
Yzma – The Emperors New Groove
Yzma will likely be the most funny character on this list
She isn’t attractive or desired by other characters in romantic ways. The Emperor’s New Groove is one of many Disney movies , but it also has some great villains as well as ugly characters.
Quasimodo – Hunchback of Notre Dame
Quasimodo is one the most adorable and ugly Disney characters. Although he is kind and always tries to do the right things, he has a deformity in his back that makes him ugly. He is a favorite character in the film, even though he is considered ugly.
Edna Mode – The Incredibles
Edna is the type of person that you would love to have in your life. She is demanding and overbearing. She’s the ugly duckling in the film. The Disney character keeps the audience laughing in The Incredibles 2 and Incredibles 3.
However, her taste in fashion is not the greatest. She loves ridiculous outfits and large glasses.
Phil – Hercules
He is a goat-man. He is short and chubby. His temper is fiery. Only Hercules can bear to his antics.
Mother Gothel – Tangled
MotherGothel is an older woman who has wrinkled skin and thin hair. She is actually hundreds of years old and can’t keep alive without Rapunzel’s magic hair.
Mother Gothel is very self-centered and uses her acting skills to manipulate Rapunzel so she can get what she wants.
Jafar – Aladdin
Jafar is one such person. He failed many times to get Princess Jasmine married using his personality.
Jafar, however, is more than Jasmine. He wants ultimate power and control. Jafar’s unquenchable desire for power ultimately ends up being his downfall. Jafar is a great character to cheer for.
The Fates – Hercules
Many people don’t view The Fates as villains. They are just three deities doing their jobs and generally are not considered to be evil characters.
Roz – Monsters Inc
Roz is one the most famous and ugly Disney characters. Her memorable voice is heard by fans when they share her memes via social media. Roz is a red-colored grumpy slug with spiked gray hair and pointy eyes.
The Hag – Snow White
Also known as the Evil queen. The Hage is her disguise to convince Snow White to accept her as an innocent stranger. The Hage is an older woman with missing teeth who sits hunched down with long, wrinkled hair and a long nose.
The disguises of wicked witches work. Snow White can be fooled by her big heart and willingness to help others.
Randall – Monsters Inc
In Monsters Inc., Pixar’s mean rival to Mike and Sully is Randall. He is always trying to be the scariest in the feature films.
Randall loves scaring. Randall is a purple Chameleon, but ofter alters his form to make him more scary or sneaky.
Ugo – Luca
Ugo is the uncle to Luca. He lives in the deepest part of the ocean and tries to take Luca with him, at his mother’s request. His organs can be seen through his torso. Ugo has sharp teeth, which might make it frightening for young children.
Peter Pan – Smee
Smee is Peter Pan’s comedic relief. He is Captain Hook’s sidekick. He is short and a little chubby. Smee is your average cartoon middle-aged man, who can be a good person someday but is primarily bad.
Tinker Bell is too poor to use her magic to make Smee tall, dark, handsome, and powerful.
LeFou – Beauty and The Beast
Gaston’s best friend, LeFou, is supportive and silly. He is not taken seriously by anyone. Gaston is his only friend and he will do whatever it takes to keep him happy.
He is short and overweight with gaps in his front teeth, and has messy brown hair.
Jumbo – Lilo & Stitch
Jumbo is an alien who invented stitch in Lilo & Stitch. Because he was modeled on a hippo, most people don’t know much about this ugly Disney character. He is sent to Earth to rescue him after he escapes.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Some people think the Seven Dwarfs look ugly. Others think they are cute. They are a misfit group with distinct characteristics.
They are named after their quirks: Grumpy and Sneezy, Dopey and Sleepy, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Doc, Bashful, Sleepy, Doc, Sleepy, Doc, Sleepy, Doc, Bashful, Happy. You can meet the Seven Dwarfs at Disney World to decide for yourself.
Forky – Toy Story 4
Bonnie created Forky from scratch. Bonnie made Forky a spork, popsicle sticks to his legs, gum for his gum and red pipe cleaners for his curly arms.
Forky is different from all the other toys. Forky feels that he doesn’t fit in and tries desperately to escape. But Woody won’t let him, as he is Bonnie’s favorite toy. He eventually realizes he is exactly where he needs be.
Madame Medusa – The Rescuers
Madusa uses Penny, a girl from an orphanage, to search for a gem. Because Penny’s size is too small to fit into small spaces such as a cave, Madusa uses Penny.
Madame Madusa is a grayish-light purple skin color with green eyes and short red hair.
Cruella De Vil – 101 Dalmatians
Cruell De Vil is an iconic villain. She is extremely thin with short, half-black and half-white hair. It is also common to see her smoking, which is an unacceptable habit. Cruella is one the most hated Disney villains because of her disgusting looks and cruelty to dogs.
Are there any other unsightly Disney characters? Cartoon couples? These characters were the ones that stood out in a less glamorous way from the rest. They were not the most popular in their families.
